[新聞] 還以為是雕塑！女子買下稀有「無毛狗」　動起來帥到路人

大家都知道斯芬克斯貓吧？那是一種無毛貓，跟其他毛茸茸的貓咪很不一樣。狗狗當中也有類似的品種，那就是秘魯無毛狗。北卡羅來納州網友Wendy Scarborough花1,935英鎊（約台幣7.5萬元）買來一隻秘魯無毛狗，並取名為Fable，大家第一次看到這隻特別的狗狗時都非常驚訝。

▼今年48歲的Wendy非常愛狗，家裡已經有十幾隻不同品種的狗狗了。她一直很想養一隻秘魯無毛狗，但這種狗狗數量非常稀少，去年5月她才找到Fable，並將牠從秘魯運到美國。Wendy說：「很多人說Fable看起來像雕像。每次我帶牠出門散步，都有路人討論，問牠是什麼品種，還想摸摸牠。大家都說牠看起來像埃及阿努比斯雕像。」

▼Wendy還表示：「Fable看起來很兇，好像冷酷無情，其實熟悉後就知道牠感情豐富。雖然牠是我的寵物，但我還是為牠著迷。秘魯無毛狗跟其他狗狗不一樣，牠們對陌生人，還有陌生的狗狗很警惕。Fable看到其他狗時不會湊過去，而是站在旁邊觀察。牠很好動，也很愛玩，有一種反差萌。」

▼Wendy家中有10幾隻狗狗，她和老公Michael都超愛狗，把每一隻狗狗都當成家人來看，不過他們也表示：「對我們來說狗狗就像孩子一樣，我們愛家中的每一隻狗狗，而Fable是最特別的一隻。」

Full time dog rescue volunteer, Wendy Scarborough, 48, is inundated with questions when she takes one-year-old hound Fable, out near her home in North Carolina, US, as fellow walkers mistake the dog for a stone sculpture.

The mum-of-two, who looks after 16 dogs with her husband, Michael, 48, had desperately sought a Peruvian Hairless Dog after becoming enchanted by their statuesque physique and ‘expressionless’ face, finally getting her wish last May when she had Fable flown 3,115 miles from Peru.

The passionate animal lover has shared photos of her incredible canine to raise awareness of the ultra-rare breed, which was on the brink of extinction three decades ago until Peruvian breeders began to re-establish the population.
