Scolari: Don’t expect samba football yet

STOKE: Luiz Felipe Scolari has warned that Brazilian-style football will have to wait after seeing Chelsea slug out a hard-fought 2-0 victory against Stoke.
Jose Bosingwa’s first goal for the club and Nicolas Anelka’s second-half strike at the Britannia Stadium secured the three points and maintained Scolari’s unbeaten record since arriving at Stamford Bridge at the end of Euro 2008.
But after being hired by Roman Abramovich to inject more flair into Chelsea, Scolari insisted that substance must come before style if the club are to win silverware.
And with Stoke making Chelsea work for everything they earned at the Britannia, Scolari made it clear that he won’t introduce free-flowing football simply for the sake of it.
“If it is possible to play beautiful football, then that is what I want to do, but the first thing we have to do is go and win the game,” he said.
“Sometimes it is difficult to play football in certain games and this game was one of those games.
现在巴西都踢不出samba足球咯,,不要期望得太靓,偶尔能踢出一场精彩的比赛已经很满足了。。
