Loan Watch: Barazite helps Derby to first win

Seven Arsenal charges are currently away on loan, three of which, Armand Traore, Kerrea Gilbert and Nacer Baraziteremain on British soil. 18 year-old left-back Traore is the only loaneecutting his teeth in the Premiership while Barazite and Gilbert arefurther down the English system, with Derby County and Leicester Cityrespectively.
Overseas, the Gunners have players in Italy, Spain and Holland. Philippe Senderoswho has made 115 appearances for the Gunners will spend the season withSerie A giants AC Milan. Fellow Centre-half Håvard Nordtveit has joinedSegunda Division outfit UD Salamanca along with Pedro Botelho while Vincent van den Berg is out on his second loan spell in as many years, this time with FC Zwolle of the Eerste Divisie.

Nacer Barazite
PaulJewell finally recorded a league victory in charge of Derby County ashis side overcame Sheffield United at Pride Park on Saturday. Nacer Barazitewas introduced at half time with the sides locked at 1-1 and it was theDutchman’s cross that Rob Hulse hammered home in the 71st minute tohand Derby their much-needed victory. Barazite replaced PrzemyslawKazmierczak at the interval with the Pole suffering from stomachcramps, and the Arsenal loanee made an immediate impact from anunfamiliar right-wing berth




Armand Traore
Armand Traoreplayed 84 minutes as Portsmouth came from a goal down to beatMiddlesbrough at Fratton Park on Saturday. The Frenchman, usuallydeployed as a left-back for Pompey, lined up against Middlesbrough as awing-back. Manager Harry Redknapp plumped for the more attackingformation as his side went in search of their first home win in sixmonths. After falling behind midway through the first half, Redknappswitched back to his more orthodox 4-4-2 to great effect. Jermain Defoestruck twice in the last half-an-hour to hand the hosts the victory.Traore was withdrawn with six minutes to go with an injury, the extentof which is currently unknown.

Kerrea Gilbert
Kerrea Gilbertonly managed the opening 34 minutes of Leicester’s 1-0 defeat at hometo Millwall. The 21-year-old limped off after receiving a knock to hisright arm although the extent of his injury is still unknown.Millwall's Gary Alexander struck the winner in the 20th minute,condemning the Foxes to their first defeat of the campaign.
