Catania fans banned from Internazionale clash
Italy's interior minister Roberto Maroni announced on Wednesday thatCatania fans will be banned from travelling to the San Siro on Saturdayfor their team's away Serie A game at Internazionale.
Thedecision made by Maroni goes against that of the independent body thatmonitors Italian soccer hooliganism, L'Osservatorio nazionale sullemanifestazione sportive, who only 24 hours earlier had grantedpermission to Catania fans to travel to Milan this weekend.
Cataniasupporters had already been restricted last season by L'Osservatoriofrom attending their team's away games over fears for public safety. |
