The draw for the league stage of the 2008/09 UEFA Champions League will be made tonight in Monaco at 5pm BST.
After edging out Belgium’s Standard Liege in the 3rd qualifying round, Liverpool find themselves in ‘Pot One’ amongst the top seeds and fellow Premier League clubs Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
As well as avoiding the other three English teams, Liverpool cannot be drawn in the same group as Barcelona, Lyon, Inter Milan or Real Madrid.
However, ‘Pot Two’ holds some difficult opposition with the likes of Bayern Munich, PSV Eindhoven, Villarreal, Roma, Juventus and Porto in there.
