Napoli youngster heads to Eastlands
Manchester City have pulled off an overseas signing in the new Mark Hughes era at Eastlands with Marcello Trotta arriving from Napoli.
The young striker has signed a four-year contract with the Premier League club after deciding to pursue his career in England.
"They have demonstrated how much they believe in me," Trotta told Interno18.
"I am happy."
The forward has represented Italy at Under-16 level and is tipped to make an impact in Manchester, even though he will begin his City career in the youth ranks.
Even though Trotta does not turn 16 until September, it has been reported that City could pay up to €1 million (£790,000) for the teenager, when his personal terms are taken into consideration, as these are said to include a house in the area. |
