1. Los Angeles Lakers
Coach: Phil Jackson (playoff record 179-77).
Team MVP: Kobe Bryant. Six months ago, few people expected Bryant to be
with the Lakers in April, let alone leading them to a division title.

Unsung hero: Derek Fisher. Though not a prototypical pass-first point
guard, Fisher can knock down open shots and is a rock at the free-throw line
