馬來西亞航空的MH370航班，由失蹤，到如今被推斷為墮毀，其確實位置至今仍是一大問號，甚至連碎片都沒有任何一塊從水中撈起，遑論化驗證實是否屬於失蹤的客機。事件令人不得不反問，現今科技難道仍然不足以實時追縱每一部民航客機的位5.39.217.76/ V; x- Y4 t+ r+ l, S; s- D

事實上，以現今科技，即使是一部智能手機、一輛巴士，只要能夠接收得到GPS（或電訊公司發射站）的訊號，訊號又沒有地形或建築物阻擋接收，而系統本身又沒有被關閉，就已經可以計算得出大概位置。不少行山失蹤市民都是以這種辦法被尋獲，而巴士公司亦有利用GPS系統得知巴士的大概位置。6 ]% A9 }& d) y( |  Y

至於在天空中的客機，只要定位和資料傳送系統沒被關掉，理論上都能夠透過GPS系統定位，甚至有網站及智能電話程式配合Google地圖提供客機的位置資料。再者，作為民航客機而非軍用飛機，亦沒有必要隱藏位置資料，因此根本毋須讓機組人員有控制權，選擇開啟還是關閉傳送實時位置的系統。

假若MH370的位置得以盡早被確定，結果又會如何？假若越南和馬來西亞兩國在客機失去聯絡後便第一時間跟進，故事又會否改寫？

2005年塞浦路斯Helios航空ZU522航班離開塞浦路斯拉納卡國際機場後，爬升至約為34,000英呎（10,000米）的飛行高度，地面控制中心與其失去聯絡。客機繼續按自動飛行模式操作，由塞浦路斯進入希臘範圍，雅典的控制中心先後19次試圖聯絡皆沒有回應，兩架F-16戰機隨後升空，近距離觀察客機內的情況。TVBNOW 含有熱門話題，最新最快電視，軟體，遊戲，電影，動漫及日常生活及興趣交流等資訊。- f( A+ c5 P' s

其後的調查顯示，起飛前的一次維修上的失誤，以致客機並無啟動自動加壓模式，令機組人員失去知覺。而試圖控制飛機的那名機艙服務員雖持有商用飛機牌照，但不足以控制ZU522所屬的波音737型號客機。而即使他能夠控制飛機，機上的燃油都已耗盡，無法避免空難。. k6 j- Y9 f. A  E9 r

雖然該次事故無人生還，但至少官方都知道應到哪裏搜索，以及掌握更多有關該航班墮毀前的情況，以便事後檢討災難成因，防止同類事故再次發生。

如果在今次馬航MH370的事故中，兩國政府以至軍方都能夠第一時間確認客機位置，甚至派戰機近距離監察，至少還可能有機會押解客機降落，又或者盡早知道其去向，決定搜救隊應到哪裏去拯救。
今次馬航事故之後，航空業界首要做的，可能就是檢討整套定位和監察系統，研究如何以現有的各種科技，配合改善工作流程和權限管理，達至每班航班都必須將其實時位置，每隔一段短時間透過至少一種方式，傳送到其所在位置所屬的飛航情報區（flight information region，FIR），系統不容關掉。

每次航空事故，即使遇上最壞的情況，機上無人生還，都還至少要做好檢討。例如，2001年911事件後，所有民用航班都加強保安，加強檢查乘客身份，以及駕駛室務必上鎖。又例如1983年大韓KE007航班闖入蘇聯領空被擊落的事件後，原為軍用的GPS開放民用兼且免費，後來更成為民航機的必然配備。

關於失蹤至今已逾半個月的馬航MH370客機，馬來西亞總理納吉前天宣布，飛機已墜毀在南印度洋，而且沒有人生還；而馬來西亞代理交通部長希沙姆丁昨日就提供較詳細的解釋，指是根據失蹤客機向衞星發送的信號之頻率變化，經分析後，「推論」馬航客機已經墜毀，而馬航方面，就呼籲家屬接受客機已毀這現實。

隨著時間一分一秒過去，大抵不少家屬都「打定輸數」，認為家人能平安歸來的機會已非常渺茫，但作為組織搜救的主力國家，馬來西亞方面又憑什麼在飛機殘骸仍未尋回，甚至連一件屬於失蹤飛機的物品都未有尋獲下，就斷定家屬希望必然幻滅？原來，有關結論只是靠計算而得出，而有關的「計算方式」，更是初次被應用。

事實上，當馬航MH370客機失去聯絡後，多國即時在馬來西亞一帶海域作出搜索，隨著後來有證據顯示，飛機起飛後曾經掉頭，搜索範圍擴大到馬六甲海峽去，以至後來再轉移至印度洋。而背後提供有關搜索方向及證據的，就有英國空難調查處及國際海事衞星公司（Inmarsat），兩者透過「從未使用過的分析方法」，估算出飛機的飛行路線。公仔箱論壇2 R3 ^( u* T* l& b8 H: h* D9 j7 @( j

所謂的「從未使用過的分析方法」，就是運用多普勒效應理論（Doppler Effect）。根據有關理論，當波源和觀察者之間互動時，波的頻率會出現改變，導致其波長頻率被壓縮或拉伸。簡單而言，就是觀察者與波源接近，波會被壓縮，波長變短，頻率會變高；但當兩者拉遠，波便會被拉長，頻率會降低。常見例子是響號的車輛由遠駛近時，人會感到響號出現高低音之變化。9 }6 \6 W# p9 B4 H/ Y6 J

然而，今次卻是史無前例把有關理論應用到推算飛機航線上。

專門在偏遠地區或有沒有可靠的地面網路通訊範圍的Inmarsat，客戶包括政府、援助機構、媒體及企業，當然也包括航空公司。其位於印度洋上空的I-4低軌通訊衛星，在客機失蹤後，就接收了由客機發出共多次的脈衝訊號，提出要跟通訊衛星「連接」，但由於馬航未有「幫襯」服務，故連接被拒，但就提供了飛機行蹤的僅有線索。技術人員同時發現，有關訊號的頻率，疑因多普勒效應而出現微小變化，於是展開分析計算，最終「推算」出飛機的大概位置。

不過，有關的「推算」，由於掌握的資料所限，因而是有可能出現誤差的，包括有關方面在計算時，是假設飛機以自動巡航速度即大概350節（約合648公里/時）飛行。而由於按MH370的位置和剩餘的油量，英國空難調查處認為，在偏遠的南印度洋海域中，油量可達範圍內根本沒有可供飛機降落的島嶼，故認為飛機極大可能墜毀，而馬來西亞政府隨後更單方面宣布飛機確認墜毀這個其實是推斷出來的事實。

雖然Inmarsat直認利用多普勒效應來尋找飛機是「從未使用過的方式」，但技術人員的專業，恐怕除專家以外，實難有人能提出質疑。然而，當中大抵仍存在一個邏輯問題，就是Inmarsat與英國空難調查處，是一直憑多普勒效應推算MH370航機的飛行路線，惟由於該方法是首次登場，故至今仍未有任何實例及證據，證明這個處子技術是正確的，甚至連判斷飛機飛向南印度洋這推測，仍有待驗證，或許這個未確定之謎，可能成為乘客家屬的終極希望。tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb1 [! o" a. u# g9 X+ J0 @( z5 T

事實上，如翻查資料，2009年6月法航空中解體慘劇，在展開搜索第5天，即有人發現浮在海面的乘客遺體，之後半個月內，更陸續再發現數十具屍體及數百件飛機殘骸。
而現時馬來西亞方面可以追查的線索，包括為何飛機會改變航道？為何航班的通訊系統會被關掉？以至事件究竟是意外還是人為，但當局至今卻未有任何交代及答案，但又已經向公球公布飛機已毀，如此處理方式，恐怕任誰人都難以接受吧！

Earlier, families complained that the airline had shut its office at the hotel, that caregivers could not be found and that the 24-hour hotline for relatives was ringing unanswered.

A Malaysia Airlines official reportedly said the Chinese government had advised them not to come on Tuesday given the tense mood, and that there were around 50 caregivers in Beijing, spread over five hotels, because it had a problem finding volunteers.

Investigators believe the plane was deliberately diverted by someone on board, but say they have not ruled out any possible explanations, from hijacking and sabotage to an attempt to deal with mechanical problems.

馬航失蹤客機家屬今聯署上書北京求助

早前馬來西亞當局表示，從衞星圖像發現122件面積龐大的可疑物件；而澳洲方面亦指出，美軍已運送兩部最先進的定位設備協助打撈，行動將一直延續至找到客機殘骸為止。
另外國家主席習近平派遣到馬來西亞的特使張業遂，將會見馬方相關官員，商討事宜。馬方代理交通部長希沙姆丁稱，當局會遵照中國要求，交出所有信息及衞星數據。

But in an opinion piece in Thursday's Global Times, Wang Wenwen said that while Malaysia had handled the crash aftermath ineptly, raw emotion should not be allowed to determine relations between the Chinese and Malaysian governments. "It is too early to let public opinion lead the way at the current stage. Whether Beijing-Kuala Lumpur relations will dim depends to some extent on how the [Chinese] government will act between diplomatic manoeuvering and public opinion."
The New Zealand family of Paul Weeks, one of the passengers, added their voice to criticism of the Malaysian authorities. "The whole situation has been handled appallingly, incredibly insensitively," Sara Weeks, the missing man's brother, told Radio Live in New Zealand.
