Tom Coronel took victory in the WTCC’s 200th race, after beating fellow BMW man, Mehdi Bennani, to the chequered flag in race two at Suzuka.

Tiago Monteiro managed to cling on to third to complete the final step on the podium, despite his Honda Civic slowing dramatically as he crossed the line, almost allowing team-mate, Gabriele Tarquini through.

The Coronel/Bennani battle was a race-long affair, as both drivers once again took advantage of the BMW’s strong start to lead from the front row. m: b% Z% S3 W* `; ?7 _9 _

On lap 17, Coronel got the advantage after diving down the inside of the Moroccan driver going into the second right-hand corner, and allowed him to secure the victory at the end of the 26-laps.
