台灣導演李安拍攝《少年Pi》同時回饋故鄉，說服製作團隊移師台灣拍攝，帶動台灣經濟和將最頂尖的荷李活電影技術引進當地。300名荷李活和台灣劇組人員，進駐主要拍攝地台中市達10個月，住了逾3萬房次酒店，令台中市內入住率提升一成，單計酒店住宿和膳食開支便達2億（約5200萬港元），相關消費總額則高達4億（約1.05億港元）。# q2 i! j7 q x8 o
