Cassandra Smith, 49, from Donnithorne Avenue in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, was found dead on Tuesday morning.

She had wounds where the dog, thought to be a bull mastiff-Staffordshire bull terrier cross, had bitten her face.' F8 W; T5 S4 u5 n1 z) d

An elderly German Shepherd dog that was in another room in the house was not involved in the incident, police said.
