[美洲] 美國‧10歲女發現新分子‧或能製成炸藥

拉曾在科學課上聽畢老師介紹分子形成後，即場以粒子模型砌出過往從未被發現的分子“tetranitratoxycarbon”，其緊密結構讓它有儲存能量的潛在特質，或能研發為炸藥。老師伯爾（Ken Boehr）見到後嘖嘖稱奇，致電老友、在加州大學任教的策勒（Robert Zoellner）求助。策勒用電腦分析拉曾的發現，認為分子構造可行。5.39.217.762 g# ]# ^2 r' S( W; \" U

I am kind of confused about this news.  How can a fifth grader understands the characters of nitrogen, oxygen and carbon ?  What criteria did she use and then combined these 3 elements together and form a complicated combination -- tetranitratoxycarbon ?   Did she know when she constructed the structure of these combination, it can store energy and release energy as well ?!   Well, I think the credit should be given to her teacher -- Mr. Boehr who took her structure seriously and understood the potential of it, then called Dr. Zoeliner.
