It took the 29-year-old Chong Wei 37 minutes to demolish the Japanese 21-6, 21-13 in probably his easiest Malaysian Open finals. "This is my best year ever. I have now won two consecutive titles in the beginning of 2012. And this will be my best Chinese New Year gift," said Chong Wei. "The win in Korea last week boosted my confidence to win my eighth Malaysian title today," added the Olympic silver medallist. TVBNOW 含有熱門話題,最新最快電視,軟體,遊戲,電影,動漫及日常生活及興趣交流等資訊。1 u% Q1 D9 T8 a

On Kenichi Tago, Chong Wei said that he expected a tough fight from the Japanese who had more time to rest as his semifinal opponent Chen Jin retired after just playing the first set on Saturday. Chong Wei will now take a break for Chinese New Year before he plays in the Thomas Cup qualifying rounds in Macau next month. He also said that he will reduce the number of his tournaments in the next few months, so that he will be fully fit and ready for the London Olympics in August. The Malaysian added that he has gained confidence after beating China's Lin Dan and Cheng Long in Korea and here respectively.
